The Pit (1981)
One of the most unsympathetic kids in a 'creepy kid' story. I am guessing that in general the societal reject kid in film, whether his obsession is snakes, rats or whatever, typically is something of a sympathetic character. This kid feeds a little old lady in a wheelchair to the "trogalogs", steals money from the babysitter, peeks at her while she is showering, forces the librarian to strip for him as he takes pictures and other assorted acts. That is without mentioning that he found a hole in the forest with meat eating beasts in it that he feeds his tormenters too. The little girl was too damn snotty anyway.
Oh and he has a teddy bear that talks to him.
The DVD cover labels the main character as autistic but since it was never mentioned in the film it may have just sounded like a good label for him.
It is a delightfully twisted little Canadian movie. ~Alzur
