A Day to Kill

Malcom's done with his life. Only the noise of Crystal Meth gives him a reason to keep going .... Equipped with a bag full of weapons and self-made bombs, he makes his way to the nearby mall to really stir things up. On his personal war campaign, he not only changes his life radically, but also the fate of other people who are in the wrong place at the same time: a teenager whose favorite pastime is smoking pot in his dreary existence, a housewife, where their best days have been left behind, a greedy businessman whose only desire is to increase his wealth and a depressed pervert. Stereotyped characters running around spouting off stereotyped lines along with worn pseudo-intellectual misanthropy and quotes from the writing of Hermann Hesse along with degraded video thrown in for an arty effect.

"A wild longing for strong emotions and sensations seethes in me,
a rage against this toneless, flat, normal and sterile life."

“You are willing to die, you coward, but not to live.”

"One day I would be a better hand at the game.
One day I would learn how to laugh."

The Walking Dead (1936)

 The Walking Dead (1936)

Gangster's led by Nolan (Ricardo Cortez) want to have a local law abiding judge killed, in doing so, they frame an ex-con, John Ellman (Boris Karloff) for the murder. Nolan acts as Ellman's lawyer and makes certain he is convicted and executed in the electric chair. Dr. Beaumont(Edmund Gwenn), a scientist is able to restore life to dead animals and seeks permission to try reviving Ellman's dead body. Dr. Beaumont is successful in restoring Ellman back to life. Boris Karloff goes on a killing rampage, running through graveyards making this picture very melodramatic with its black and white setting. (IMDB whpratt1)
