Lick the Star (1998)

Chloe (Audrey Kelly) is the school's 'queen bee' obsessed with Virginia Andrews' Flowers in the Attic. Bored with school and somewhat annoyed with the immature boys her age, she and the girls in her clique start scheming something strange. Lick the star is the name of their 'extra- scholastic' project involving the boy's lunches, rat poison and raw eggs. However before Chloe is able to carry out her evil plan some false rumors about her are spread around school. All of a sudden she's not the 'superstar' anymore, but the one being bullied. Black Scorpion (1995)

Black Scorpion is set in the City of Angels where Darcy Walker (Joan Severance) works as a cop, Darcy & her partner Michael Russo (Bruce Abbott) screw up during a bust & a suspect goes free. Darcy talks to her ex-cop father (Rick Rossovich) about it, while they chat in a bar the district attorney Thomas Aldridge (John Sanderford) walks in & shoots Stan dead for no apparent reason, Darcy is shocked & in an attempt to get some answers threatens the DA at gunpoint which gets her fired. Angry about the injustice she sees Darcy decides to take the law into her own hands & dresses in black latex to resemble a Scorpion & becomes a vigilante as Darcy dishes out her brand of justice to the criminals of Angel City. This ultra-super-duper-excessively cheap film is something you just need to see to appreciate. It starts a cheesy looking turkey puppet who goes on a murderous rampage--all during which he makes cheesy and occasionally funny comments. It also features the puppet having sex with a teen as well as one funny scene where he sits and has coffee with an off-duty cop and a song montage that made my brain hurt.

Considering that the folks who made "ThanksKilling" meant to make a bad film and had almost no budget whatsoever, it's a hard film to review. Yes, it is bad--but they knew they were making a bad movie when they made it and there is no attempt to make anything other than a very stupid film. So, if you do watch it, you should be the sort of person who likes terrible films AND you have a high tolerance for the vulgarity and deliberately gratuitous nudity. As for the nudity, I normally don't want it in films, but it was rather funny how they used it--as a way of making fun of the gratuitous nature of slasher films. As for the language, it's very, very crude and dumb...but again, that IS what they were looking for! This is NOT a film to show your mother or Father Jenkins (unless your mother or Father Jenkins are sociopathic murderers). (IMDB planktonrules)
