"As independent retailers dwindle, larger chains focused more on mainstream titles seem to “control and set the arbitrary taste for the entire market,” said Matt Kennedy, former president of Panik House Entertainment, which specializes in international genre movies like “The Curse of the Crying Woman” and “The Pinky Violence Collection. Not getting a title into one of these stores can be the death of a small label, but so can getting one in."

If you stumble across this you may as well keep going. There is nothing here except a note to myself.
I found myself with a large number of no budget independent movies. Many of them weren't worthy of notice but there were a few gems that had a fresh non-Hollywood feel. The listing here was originally to help me track what I had watched. Just a title and four or five screen shots to help jog my memory.
It expanded into old horror, exploitation and noir B films which I also had quite a number of. Then a bit of more current stuff and even a few mainstream big name Hollywood releases. The number of screen shots grew with some detailing the plot, on other films it focuses on the cast and with some they are just pretty random.
The screen shots were pretty conservative. There were a couple porn parodies or versions of horror films though the screen shots showed no nudity except possibly on the DVD cover.
The inclusion of a documentary on Dick Drost and the Miss Nude America contest brought such interest that at least for a period of time the general trend of the screenshots had less of a PG rating trend to them.

...It has further been stated that if Carnival of Souls had been made in Europe, that it would be considered an art film, while if Eyes Without a Face had been made in the U.S., it would have been categorized as a low-budget horror film. The art film and exploitation film audiences are both considered to have tastes that reject the mainstream Hollywood offerings...

"Psychotronic Movies", ... defined as "the ones traditionally ignored or ridiculed by mainstream critics at the time of their release: horror, exploitation, action, science fiction, and movies that used to play in drive-ins or inner city grindhouses." (Michael) Weldon coined the term after being inspired by The Psychotronic Man (1975), a low budget science fiction obscurity.
